Today Denmark’s Minister for European Affairs, Nicolai Wammen, presented the priorities of the upcoming Danish EU Presidency at a press conference in Brussels.

At a joint press conference with the Polish Minister for European Affairs, The Danish Minister presented the priorities of the upcoming Danish EU Presidency, which begins on 1 January 2012.

The four priorities set out

Brussels, December 12th 2011 - The majority of EU Member states appear to have respected the deadline to introduce legislation which will enable the Defence Directives to be adopted into ational law.

Brussels, November 28th 2011 - Commissioner Michel Barnier, speaking to Defense News, stated that a new EU defence policy task force is being considered. He said that the initiative is likely to involve the EDA, the European External Action Service and the Directorate Generals of the Internal Market, Research and Development, Industry, Transport, Energy and Legal Services.
