AeroPortal

Your Portal to European Aeronautics Research Programmes

The AeroPortal Project is the follow-up of AeroSME and SCRATCH with the support of the European Union.

The AeroPortal Project is aimed at encouraging and supporting the participation of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in the EU's 7th Framework Programme of Research (FP7). It is a single point of reference for information on EU funded projects and all activities relating to aeronautics research in FP7.

What services are available?

  • AeroPortal is a platform for aeronautics SMEs interested in information on FP7 rules, procedures, technology acquisition opportunities, and contacts with industry.
  • A database with the names of hundreds of aeronautics SME enterprises interested in participating in EU funded projects.
  • A large background in proposals preparation turned into training activities to the benefit of industrial companies and local bodies.
  • Support in turning a project idea into a project proposal, particularly for SME-coordinators, including the definition of the research activities, proposal writing and partner search.
  • Organisation of workshops in nearly all European countries to raise SMEs awareness on EU funded R&TD project opportunities and aeronautical supply chain issues.
  • Individual information and support through on-site visits to small companies interested in joining EU projects.
  • An electronic information letter is mailed providing SMEs with information on EU funding and project opportunities, and other aeronautics related events.
  • Specific activities for SME clusters and associations within the Multiplier Group.

Who can participate?

The services are available and free of charge to all interested aeronautical SMEs in Europe.

Who we are

AeroPortal is a partnership between the AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD), representing the aeronautics, space, defence and security industries in Europe, and European experts with extensive knowledge of EU R&TD support mechanisms and aeronautics technologies. A membership for individual industrial or research organisations in AeroPortal is not possible.
