Resarch & Technology (R&T)

The capacity to develop and control technological breakthrough are key elements of the activities of ASD's company members. This first step of the supply chain is vital to nurture the aerospace industry: indeed, thanks to R&T, the sector is able to imagine and develop innovative solutions.

Through R & T, the sector is also seeking the interest of European Commission thanks to EU funded programmes.

The ASD R&T Commission has initiated a move towards greater integration between the different ASD sectors (Security, Space, Defence and Civil Aeronautics) with respect to cross-sectoral topics.

The Chairman of the Commission is Mr Michel Laroche, Vice President Aerospace Technologies at SAFRAN and the vice chairman is Mr Alberto Sarti, Vice President for Product Policy of Finmeccanica.
