Aerospace & Defence industry calls for EU/UK agreement

  • July 10, 2020

July 3, 2020 - ASD addressed the Brexit negotiators on the EU and the UK side.

The ASD members of all sizes from across Europe stands united in their view of the need to find solutions related to Brexit that cause as little additional burden as possible for our industries. We need to avoid permanently damaging the already hard-hit (by Covid) aerospace and defence industry. ASD therefore urged leaders on both sides to reach an agreement before the end of the transition period.

ASD also calls for in case of no deal, to reapply temporary measures in similar terms than the ones envisaged or adopted in 2019 to protect, in particular, air transport, some airworthiness certificates, road haulage and movement of workers.
