“Trade wars have no winners”: industry statement on transatlantic tariffs
ASD joins Business Europe in expressing concern over US steel and aluminium tariffs, warning of harm to transatlantic industries, supply chains, and consumers
Amid escalating concerns over proposed US tariffs on steel and aluminium, ASD has issued a statement aligning with Business Europe’s warning against measures that risk harming transatlantic industries:
"We fully support the position expressed by Business Europe in their statement on 12 March. Our members span a wide range of companies, differing in size and business operations, including supply chains, production locations, markets served, and trade exposure.
Trade wars have no winners – they create uncertainty, disrupt global supply chains, and ultimately harm industries and consumers on both sides. We strongly advocate for open and fair trade policies that ensure a competitive and resilient aerospace, security, and defence sector."
