ASD joins Business Europe in reiterating concern over the US administration’s decision to impose tariffs, warning of harm to transatlantic industries, supply chains, and consumers.
ASD supports the position expressed by Business Europe in their statement on 3 April. Our members span a wide range of companies, differing in size and business operations, including supply chains, production locations, markets served, and trade exposure.
Trade wars have no winners – they create uncertainty, disrupt global supply chains, and ultimately harm industries and consumers on both sides. It is essential that the US and EU resume constructive dialogue to resolve the tariff issue and avoid further strain on transatlantic economic relations
